So I would like to talk to you about the loopholes with Shannon’s car insurance. So I have been a Shannon’s fully comprehensive car insurance customer for over 3 years. My car is rare, very rare, in fact they had to get a someone to rewrite the policy just for my car as the year/make and model wasn’t known. So this happened and eventually my car was insured with an agreed value of $22,000. I paid on this policy for the last few years. Unfortunately several weeks ago somebody reversed into my car causing irreparable damage to multiple components. I called Shannon and sent photos and was told this looked to be a write off and they would have a tow truck in the morning to take it to the Shannon’s assessor’s in eagle farm. After that they said they needed another assessor and asked my preference, sadly I chose someone local who his a member of Shannon’s choice. The next day a lady called to tell me they would pay me $2000, after I complained I was told that was the labor and ignore the call. Later that day someone dropped my car in my driveway, it had no power and wouldn’t even start. The next day the Shannon’s assessor called me to offer me $4600 to replace the parts that no longer existed. My car is a 2006 Infiniti m45 and the oem parts don’t exist. When I asked him why the car had been dropped back to my house he was very confused. I asked how would they price the parts if they don’t have exist and let him know just for my rear bumper second hand with freight, fitting and paint was over $2000. As I explained my car doesn’t start, doesn’t accelerate why did this happen. He was shocked. He offer d me $4600 to pay for the repairs for which I can’t repair I was amazed. Now to explain what’s wrong with the car I will say this, as the other car tried to reverse at a high speed and I had a 8 year old son in the front as I honked my horn I also drove up into the gutter I destroyed my front bumper I hit a road sign on my front left quarter and when I was hit my right rear quarter hit another with. The area around my driver side panel was like a crater and the rear bumper was also heavily damage. My rear driver side wheel was damaged as was the exhaust tips and the rear diffuser. So Shannon‘s decided to tell me that they are entitled to pay me for the parts that can’t be fixed as opposed to the rest of the vehicle even though that is highly illegal. They do not have the option and as per my product disclosure statement and my insurance certificate it says they can pay to fix my vehicle or pay to write my vehicle off. They do not have the option of giving me money to repair a vehicle that can’t be repaired. Now my goal is to post over 50 reviews over all the different car sales and car type places and all the different reviews through Google and after all the said and done my mum has already offered to give me the money to sue them until I get my agreed value
