I bought my 43" Sharp tv 30months ago. Which in the eyes of some might be old, to me it is not. I have just been informed the back light has gone. This will be a £150- £200 repair, and might not work, a new tv is just over £300. So in the bin goes a mass of plastic, and a new tv has to be bought. There are so many things wrong with this scenario, not least the well known electrical appliance built in expiration date. My last tv lasted 2hrs, because I dropped it 🙈. However, the one before that I had TEN years and it was still going strong, when I gifted it down the family, as a 'starter' tv. For this to fail in 30months is nothing but shoddy workmanship, and poor quality parts. I'd say stay away for that alone, however there is also the lack of clarity on the Sharp website. Although they are not the only company guilty of that. I searched high and low for prices on their site, I still haven't found one. I am assuming I have,to go on a hunt down the rabbit hole, that is the internet to find sellers. Then I will have to jump from seller to seller to compare prices. Then back and forwards to find delivery dates. Not forgetting the search for ' do they deliver to Scottish Islands', or are we classed as 'international' or 'overseas'. In summary poor quality merchandise, not user friendly website, and no sign of customer service. You can tell a rubbish company on Trustpilot very simply, they never respond to feedback.
