I always passed by this shop as I work in the area and I have always purchased my gold and silver from trusted online sellers but for once I wanted to try my first physical purchase and I thought I would try it with them given their presence in a very prestigious location, I thought the experience would be rewarding but I couldn’t have been more wrongUpon entry the welcome was ok and I was greeted by a gentleman called Thomas who was very helpful and very kind, that’s the only reason I put an additional star instead of 1However, since there was a queue Thomas told me I could come after 20 minutes and he would prioritise my order. Indeed I came back and he did do so. I was after an American eagle one ounce and I purchased one for £3,876 via bank transfer. Naturally the gentleman told me to wait in the lobby for 5-10 minutes while they prepared my order. This is where things took a horrible turn as there was another man who was incredibly rude in his demeanour and communication, not just with me but almost with everyone there.He came up to me and told me exactly “what are you waiting for ?” I said I paid and I am waiting for my coin, to which he said exactly “I might ask you to wait outside if it gets busy here”. I was shocked, I genuinely thought he was jocking but it took me couple of seconds to realise he wasn’t and I literally said ok because I didn’t want to cause a scene. Luckily my coin came out after his horrible comment and I took my coin, left and swore that this is the first and definitely last time. I will never ever step a foot in that store with people like him in thereI sincerely hope this behaviour is not in line with store policy. Asking a paying customer to wait outside while their order is being prepared, apparently to prioritise walk-ins, is both baffling and disrespectful. It creates the send a clear message that once payment is made, the customer is no longer valued.
