My first experience with them was messy and unmethodical. They refused to provide me with a dispatch date for my order (though I asked twice) and I was travelling abroad that week so I needed some clarity around the delivery. They used covid as an excuse despite the fact we are well out of lockdown and retailer’s nationwide are operating at full capacity and fulfilling next day delivery orders seamlessly. Nevertheless, it was a month ago so of course I’ve moved on.Ahead of my Lagos trip I decided to place an order on 5/6 May and typically when one places an online order, they would receive some type of correspondence from the supplier in acknowledgment of the order. However from my previous experience dealing with this company, I wasn’t surprised when I didn’t receive any correspondence and from reading other reviews it seems normal practice for them to receive payment and not send acknowledgment to customers.3 days later, I receive an email advising that a refund has been issued lol.This here is a prime example of how a small black business can participate in their own degradation through lack of organisation and professionalism. I’ve been told they regularly take payment for out of stock goods so not surprised.I have placed an order with my usual supplier this morning and I have already received an email confirming dispatch today.UPDATE:Thank you for your response, however I would kindly urge you not to give out false information. I am a Christian, a wife, a mother and a professional so the very last thing I would do is lower myself over a petty subject. I was not abusive, however, I give you full permission to broadcast my emails so that we may see this alleged abuse. I sent 3 emails (each one, in response to your 3 emails) I have simply given an accurate account of my experience which I am fully entitled to and I can only apologise if that has aggrieved you.Yes, my initial order was placed on 10 April and it was dispatched on 14th April. However as I have already stated, at the time I contacted SHC asking for a simple dispatch date, and the information was withheld. I received a vague response stating “DHL will have it scanned out from our facility sometime this week” which was not helpful, I needed confirmation as I was catching a flight on Friday 16th and if you had simply replied with a date that would have been enough, so please record that as a lesson learned.Best Wishes.
