When our TV stopped working they came and assessed and told us that it couldn’t be repaired. It was only 2.5 years old but out of warranty. They advised we could claim under the consumer rights act as the expected life of a TV is 6 years. They wrote us a technical report and we contacted the firm we bought from requesting compensation. Although they declined to refund at our first ask, we wrote again using the advice given to us by Sheffield TV repairs and this time received a positive reply and within 2 weeks we had a £370 return for a TV that had cost £600.Sheffield TV repairs were so nice and helpful, and we would never have taken the claim forward without their advice
