Very slow, too many mistakes. Told 3 to 4 weeks, ended up being 17 weeks. Just paperwork to register new vehicle from Germany. Their quote for shipping doubled in price when I asked them to confirm it, so I drove it back myself.Had to cancel plans for new vehicle several times, now too late. Would not have proceeded if I had known in advance.In response to SMC reply:That is not correct.The price you quoted for shipping the vehicle was originally £1500 but doubled to about £3000 when I was going to take you up on it, hence I chose to drive it to the UK myself.The first 2 weeks were wasted as the person doing the VCA & DVLA applications was away and nobody filled in for her.You then submitted an application where the description did not match the description you had already supplied for Customs/VAT. The authorities wasted several weeks reaching that point then another 2 weeks posting it all back to you so that you could correct it. Then you failed to have sufficient funds in your account to pay the tax, so once again the authorities wasted several weeks reaching that point then another 2 weeks posting it all back to you.Granted DVLA & VCA are extremely slow and do not appear to be able to use email to speed the process, but it was your mistakes that exacerbated this. Furthermore, you should have been aware of their delays when you quoted 3 to 4 weeks which I relied upon.
