Sold an item via Etsy. They recommended USPS and Shipsurance. I buy their shipping insurance to cover the $2100.00 value. I buy signature required from USPS. The recipient never receives the goods and files a claim, Etsy takes $2000.00 out of MY bank account and gives it right away to the buyer. USPS says the parcel was signed for and delivered. The buyer claims it was not delivered. Shipsurance denies my claim. USPS denies my claim. You can't do honest business with Shipsurance or Etsy. No help. Cold Shoulder. They obscure the truth and their exemptions in the legalese & fine print. Best to avoid them. They represent the worst in shipping insurance. UPDATE: readers, ETSY took 2000.00 from me without warning and “refunded” the buyer. Clearly, this practice is super sketch. Avoid ETSY.
