Purchased an air fryer via PayPal on an Shopify URL and after waiting a few weeks the item did not arrive. Attempted to go back onto the website and the URL no longer existed. Emailed the website a few times requesting for an update and received no response. Then emailed Shopify directly explaining that money has been taken and no package has been delivered. The response from Shopify was appalling as they directed the responsibility to the seller.Fortunately, thanks to PayPal, they refunded me directly. Fully aware that Shopify is a platform however, was surprised they do not check legitimate sellers or take any responsibility for scammers. There was no assistance or recommendations to proceed.I no longer trust any URL with Shopify and recommend Shopify implement changes to avoid scammers utilising the platform.
