Foolishly trusted that sellers using Shopify were genuine. How wrong was I! Just been scammed by someone using the name of a company that apparently stopped trading five years ago. Shopify seem happy to support scammers by not verifying who they collect payments on behalf of. Tried to email Shopify but message back says they no longer accept emails. Any company wanting payment through them will now be a red flag to me.
