This company took £19.99 from my son's bank account every two weeks for a number of months totalling almost £220.This was not a service that was knowingly signed up for and only 4 transactions were refunded after requesting this via their customer service department.They advised that it was activated via a promotional offer displayed on an e-commerce website within their advertising display network, shortly after completing an online purchase.However, they would not advise which purchase or online retailer the subscription related to. Furthermore, there was no purchase made on the date the subscription started and they would not confirm whether the option for this service was checked by default or required explicit selection.I can therefore assume it was in extremely small print with a checkbox which had to be unchecked on checkout! Not clear at all and appears that they are hoping customers will not notice it being taken from their account until it's too late for a refund.
