We booked a private transfer from Tenerife Airport to our hotel. The driver didn't arrive and after much messing about trying to find someone who worked for Shuttle Direct, we were eventually put at the back of a long taxi queue and put into a taxi. This cost half of what the transfer had cost and involved a long queue and a stressful experience. I have emailed requesting a refund because my private transfer was simply a taxi queue which I could have sorted for myself at half the price. I am still waiting for a reply.Edit on 24.11.25 - Shuttle Direct have finally returned to me to explain that they have no control over the service providers as they are simply a ‘sales agent.’ They have offered a £15 goodwill refund. I will never use this company again - we ended up queuing in the taxi rank and paid double the cost of the taxi which we were eventually told to get. We had the added inconvenience of the prolonged wait whilst the supplier tried to find us a driver. Daylight robbery. Don’t risk using this company.
