After being stuck and not improving my painting I booked on the EMC course with Siege Studios. I was initially apprehensive about booking the course in case my current painting level wouldn’t be good enough but that worry soon went away after the first exercise. James went through the two days explaining everything step by step. We started off blending with an airbrush, James really focused on the application and the how/why the light source would affect the model. This then moved on to wet palettes, blending and glazing, the application of transfers then on to weathering. The information within the weathering section alone could be put in a book and be an Amazon best seller. In the afternoon on the second day we focused on faces and at the end James explained how to paint eyes and 10 minutes later I managed to pull off the impossible with a head with perfect eyes that alone feels like I’ve mastered the dark arts and worth the price of the course.
