Overall enjoyed the event, location was great, 20 mins down the road from where we live. in fact I only knew about on the Saturday morning via social media so we just ordered tickets and rocked up at lunchtime. Good ticket proce and process. Liked the Warboot too. Nice atmosphere at the event, stunning miniatures but had to queue for almost an hour to get to see them and by the time we got to the cabinets near the stage the winners stuff was removed for judging just as we got to it! I guess the takeaway here is to arrive early to get to see everything. But I don't know if the queues were like that all day? Having to wait so long with two kids spoilt it a bit for me, but I don't know how you can avoid the queues? This was the first painting competition I've attended apart from Games Day about 15 years ago so I don't have an idea if the queues are the norm? Might go next year but earlier 🙂
