I know the following is a long read BUT it details my experience with Silkrute from start to finish. I hope it may help others feel less "panicked" by slow delivery of their product and so more confident to order. Just don't order anything you need urgently π. The Silkrute Team have been very attentive since my initial review & lovely to deal with. Yes there have been "cultural" issues but I can honestly put most of the "negatives" down to exactly that, being "lost in translation". They seem genuinely keen to please and build a reliable business. My experience started badly but it ended well. So I didn't lose my $$ π AND I found a new business I can trust to order from. π€ Below is my experience....Guessing I lost my $$. Order placed. Confirmation received. Email stating items are clearing customs received. Nothing more. Email from Silkrute asking for more business. I replied, "Not until you honour 1st order." Emailf from Silkrute "Please advise your order." Order #'s supplied. Email received stating "Product has been shipped". And still we wait, and wait, and wait.... A quick online solution to aid my aged parents turned into a big fat fraudulent π (Bar stools I ordered from England arrived in 5 days! For comparison)2/6/25 Update: Got a reply to this review asking for order numbers so they may track issue. As it is too tricky to reply to their reply on Trustpilot (maybe it's my tech inabilities π€·πΌββοΈ) I will list them here - not worried about others stealing details as the order probably doesn't exist anyway π ###### ######. Not sure why there are 2 order #'s, I only placed 1 order. But hey, who's counting order #'s for non-existent product anywayπ€·πΌββοΈ 4/6/25 Update - now being offered $ to change my review. I will amend my review when the camels delivering my order via The Silk Route actually arrive and not before.10/6/25 Update - products arrived π₯³ All products ordered delivered although not a "pretty" unpack. Damaged boxing & varying use by dates - some not too far away π BUT all usable and, as they're for personal use, doesn't really matter about the box. Not sure how I'll use all the Mela-Rest before it's use by date but who knows π€·πΌββοΈ 11/6/25 Update - Silkrute apologetic for condition of packaging on arrival. Offered immediate discount which was declined by myself as product itself undamaged. They replied with offer of 10% off next order β₯
