While they are friendly and polite to talk to they really don’t have their act together. I ordered a pair of Wiley X glasses through their website and was emailed a day later that they the lenses I specified were not compatible with the Wiley X frame so I had to be downgraded into another lens. A week later I was informed that I couldn’t get a clear Transitions progressive lens at all and would have to choose another frame! I emailed them asking what frames would work. After several days I got a return email apologizing for the delay in getting back to me because they were “busy” and that they’d have to check what frames they have available. They never followed up with any information. I had a weekend motorcycle trip for two weeks later so I was getting worried that I wouldn’t have appropriate eyewear. I then called them to see if my existing frame could be used since they didn’t provide me any options. They indicated that they could so I shipped them my frames expedited at my expense. I followed up several days later to check on the status of my order and to remind them of my trip. So what was the end result? They had my frames for over a week, shipped them on Friday for Saturday delivery and USPS ended up losing the shipment so I didn’t receive them until Monday. My weekend trip had to be cancelled. So many thing went wrong but here’s the summary. First and foremost, their website should never have been allowed me to order a frame/lens combination that they knew couldn’t be made. Then it took them a week to inform me. They promised to give me alternatives but did not do so. Once they received my frames it took over a week for them to finish the order. While it’s not their fault that USPS lost the shipment they should never have put me in that position given the trip they knew I had planned. Even if things had gone as planned I would have had to leave half a day late for my trip. Instead I didn’t get to go at all. The reply I got from Simply Eyeglasses? “We’re sorry. We’re a small family owned company and really take customer service to heart”. Their website gives the appearance of a professional, solid company. Clearly they are not. They sell a product they can’t produce. Even though I tried to work with them despite numerous lapses on their part they still ended up dropping the ball. If this is their idea of good customer service then everyone needs to be warned about the kind of company they are. Buyer beware!
