I recently had the misfortune of utilising the rental services at Skiset in Les Arc 2000 and, to put it bluntly, it was a complete shambles. Upon arrival, my booking seemed to have disappeared into thin air, and it took being bounced around three different staff members before it was finally unearthed. This lack of organisation and efficiency was exasperating and set a dire tone for the rest of my encounter. The quality of the kit provided was also below par. Despite forking out for premium skis, I was given the same set that another customer had rented as 'basic'. This not only felt like daylight robbery but also made me question the integrity of the shop's pricing structure and their commitment to customer satisfaction. The final straw came on my last day. I politely enquired if I could leave my shoes at the shop to avoid the palaver of skiing back to my hotel and then having to trudge back for 10 minutes toting skis. Incredibly, I was told no by Zack, who was outright rude. However, upon my return at noon, I noted an area where shoes were being stored, with several vacant slots that I was denied use of.In conclusion, my experience with Skiset in Les Arc 2000 was anything but satisfactory. The service was disorganised, the kit was not as advertised, and Zack's intransigence and lack of understanding left a bitter taste. I would advise anyone who values their time, money, and overall skiing experience to give this service a wide berth.
