I’ve been dealing with persistent infotainment system failures on my Škoda Scala for over six months, and the experience with Škoda UK and the local dealership (Richmond Škoda Southampton) has been extremely frustrating.The system crashes regularly—even when no phone is connected—and recently triggered a failed emergency SOS call, which raises serious safety concerns. Despite dozens of emails and assurances of updates, no firm diagnosis or resolution has been provided.The only technical information I’ve received is vague, sometimes blaming iOS devices—even though no Apple device has ever been used with the car. My Samsung S21 and S23 are both now facing compatibility issues, with no clear explanation or timeline for a fix.To make things worse, I’ve been asked to pay £120+ to diagnose what appears to be a known manufacturer fault, despite the vehicle being sold on the strength of its infotainment features, which are now unreliable and unsafe.At this point, I feel completely let down by both Škoda UK and the dealership.
