Recently, my partner phoned Sky to request signing up to Sky Sports, in particular, the autumn internationals. To make this request took about 5-10 minutes. The aim was to cancel immediately as we only wanted to watch the England games (e.g. v New Zealand). My partner made it very clear she wished to cancel immediately, however, the customer service person stated 'he could not do it and she would need to speak to another department'. Attempting to get through to cancel took 45 minutes. This is a constant feature of Sky TV (i.e. if you request a new package they answer quickly and to cancel they take an eternity).Furthermore, Sky have started to modify their packages. They state or wrongly believe, it is in the interest of the customer. Let's be honest about this 'It's Not'! It's about Sky making even more money under the guise of individual customer service.In a nutshell, if we had other options we would go elsewhere, however, competition in rural areas is very limited.
