Poor service, incorrect billing, no accountability
I signed a contract renewal with Smartest Energy in October 2025, which was supposed to take effect from January 2026.
However, the agreed tariff was never applied, and I have been charged on a much higher out-of-contract flexible rate instead.
What’s worse is the customer service experience. I have been repeatedly passed between the renewals team and customer service, with neither taking ownership or resolving the issue.
This has resulted in overcharging and a significant waste of time chasing something that should have been handled correctly from the start.
Very disappointing experience so far. I hope this can be resolved quickly, otherwise I will be escalating this to the Energy Ombudsman.
