I have a CONFIMED morning appointment with Smith and Byford today Thursday 4th April for an annual gas safety check. At approximately 10.50 I telephoned Smith and Byford for an update on the engineer's visit. Despite the fact that there's a carpark at the flats where I reside, I was told that the engineer couldn't find a parking space and had continued on his way. I confirmed with the Smith and Byford representative that there are parking spaces and that in any event I'd be happy to watch over the engineer's vehicle whilst the gas safety check was carried out. I was then told by the Smith and Byford representative that the engineer couldn't be reached over the telephone and that an email would be sent to the engineer and I'll receive a callback. As a result of this fracas my morning has been wasted and I've no Idea if the the gas safety check will take place today or for that matter any other day.
