I had an extremely disappointing experience with Solar Frames from start to finish.I initially placed a request for a call and was immediately bombarded with nine missed calls. When I called back, they made me feel like it was my fault for not answering, saying they had “tried so many times to contact me.” Not a great start.We then booked an appointment — which they didn’t show up for. When I called to ask, I was told it “wasn’t on their calendar.” When they eventually did turn up, the representative spent most of the time criticizing other companies, except for Coral, and claimed they could price match my Coral quote.The initial quote was £23,510, which was reduced to £19,276 when I said it was too expensive. I then shared Coral’s offer, which was originally £16k, reduced to £11k as a special offer. Solar Frames said they would match that price and send a quote the same day.However, I never received the quote. Instead, I got a call from a manager saying they wouldn’t honour the quoted price, and the adviser later messaged me claiming there had been a “small discrepancy” — yet the new price was £15,456, a difference of £4,356! That’s not a small discrepancy by any measure.Even after following up multiple times, I still haven’t received the final quote until today 5 days later. To make matters worse, they explained that even after you agree, a “specialist” still has to visit to “reconfirm pricing,” meaning the number could change again.Overall, the whole process felt unprofessional, confusing, and misleading. I would absolutely not recommend Solar Frames to anyone looking for an honest or straightforward experience.
