We bought a house where the previous owners had an extension built on the back, no more than a a few years old this extension. We noticed issues around the door fittings including damp. The previous owners kindly left all documentation the whole Solar Frame pack that they received themselves when the building was done.Solar Frame are telling us that despite the fact the extension is still under 'warranty' , that the warranty lies with the owners of the property at the time the building works were done and NOT with the build extension itself. If I am missing something here please do inform me, however, we are struggling to understand why even offer a warranty for the work carried out, if the home changes owners then Solar Frame are refusing to assist with their own building works and customer service? My understanding from the information being given is that the warranty is practically useless, if persons are to move house they cannot pick up the extension and take it with them? , so, what is the point in offering such a 'warranty' for the work carried out when Solar Frame will only honor it if the home owners are the same people at the time the work was complete.... Absolutely mind boggling.
