I simply cannot recommend this business.

As much as I would like to recommend a UK business during these difficult times, I'm afraid I simply cannot do so in the case of SoundStop.Ordered and paid for a tile in a particular colour, only to be called some time later to be told it was unavailable. Disappointing, but not a deal breaker, so I ordered a different colour.Agreed delivery on a specific day, arranged and paid for a gang of men to attend the delivery, but the tiles did not arrive. When calling the courier company, they confirmed that the retailer (SoundStop) had made an error when agreeing to the delivery date arranged, hence no tiles!Rearranged for delivery the next day (day 2). To cut a long story short, the tiles finally arrived at the FOURTH time of asking, on day 3! To reiterate, it was only on the fourth agreed delivery time, on the third day, that the tiles arrived. In the meantime, I had arranged and paid for a gang of men to sit around for the best part of 3 days waiting for a delivery of tiles!Whilst I accept that the second and third failed deliveries were caused by the courier company, I also felt that the level of customer support offered by SoundStop was severely lacking. They were the retailer, therefore I would have expected them to resolve the issues with the courier company which they had chosen to use. Unfortunately this was not the case and I was the one who spent the time trying to resolve this delivery issue.A few days later I contacted SoundStop detailing the problems in an email (as requested by them) and confirmed that the situation had cost me time, money and more than a little frustration. They were very apologetic, confirming that the issue would be looked at, had been passed on to the area manager etc. etc. Five days later I had still heard nothing, so sent another email asking for an update. Once again they were very apologetic, confirming that the issue was being looked at, had been passed on to the area manager, the manager was being chased etc. etc. This was 6 weeks ago. Not unsurprisingly I have heard absolutely nothing since! I do not now expect to receive any further communication or goodwill gesture on the part of SoundStop.Whilst I am trying to do everything possible to support UK businesses at this time, when a number of neighbours asked if I would recommend Soundstop as they were also thinking of sourcing soundproofing tiles, my answer was a categorical "absolutely not".
