The car park and access was swift and well managed. We were disappointed with the fairground, as it was extremely limited, and some of the rides looked like they were due for retirement some time ago!The food offering was pretty good, and priced as would be expected for such events, but it did seem odd to have the only two bars next to each other, and quite a way from anything else.It was pretty clear many others who arrived early were disappointed with the early entertainment offering, as many seemed to be leaving to go and wait in the warmth of the nearby McDonald’s until closer to the main event. One of our group had significant walking difficulty and was initially advised at the entrance he would have to walk to the opposite end of the arena to view the drones, but later found they could be seen well from much closer to the disabled parking area. There were a number of near misses with cars trying to perform a u-turn on the main road, with a lone operative attempting to just shout and point at cars. This could’ve been designed out with a simple line of cones down the middle of the road, forcing drivers to turn at the next roundabout.Hopefully constructive, we need more events like this at the show-ground in Lincoln, and I think with a little more effort for the ticket price, it could’ve been much more successful.
