I took the Spain Revealed course in 2024 (cohort 9) when my husband was applying for Spanish citizenship (thanks to his Asturian grandfather). We were dreaming of moving to Spain but had no idea how. This course saved us lots of time, money and stress. James gave us a detailed overview of all our options in an interesting and entertaining format, including webinars of experts (health insurance, investments, immigration, tax and real estate) in which we could ask individual questions. I am rather low tech and the class was easy to access online as is the alumni Telegram. James taught us exactly what documents we needed to obtain before going to Spain, all the bureaucratic steps needed to get residency, tips on how to find housing through Idealista, and an understanding of the very different Spanish tax system. I especially liked the class on the different cities and regions where we might want to live. With all this info we were confident enough to sell our house and move to Santander, Cantabria in Northern Spain in July of 2025. I was able to get my 5 year spousal residency in 6 month, now have free public health care and can apply for citizenship in July 2026. This course saved us capital gains tax, immigration worries and rental mistakes. I still review the course as James alerts us of updates, and he answers emails. He really enjoys helping people move to Spain and thrive. I highly recommend this course. It’s well worth the cost.
