I have been in Spartan's trading room for the last two years, and in the 1:1 mentorship program since May 2023. Like many others, I made money in the 2020 boom, gave it all back in the 2022 bust and decided to dedicate to the craft and learn from a professional who knows what they are doing. First things first - the mentorship program is not a get rich scheme. You will have to commit time, dedicate to a routine, learn from your mistakes and identify your strengths. Given my very busy travel schedule with my day time work, one of the earliest realizations that I had was that (1) I was trying to play too many setups and (2) I was trying to play everything - stocks and options, long and short, day and swing trading. Basically, I wanted quick money and as a result, I was not profitable and very stressed out.Within the first 3 months of journaling my trades, it was clear that there are 2 or 3 setups that match my personality and trading style, and that I am much better at risk management with equities than options. Since that time, I have slowly improved my risk exposure and have become profitable. In the last month or so as the market conditions have improved, I am seeing a drastic change in my performance: as an example, my realized profit is 2.5X from January 2024 stats, and I am consistent month over month for the last 8 months. I am taking a Kaizen/Atomic Habits approach and increasing my risk exposure as I become more confident in the setups that I focus on. In my opinion, getting good at any skill, be it sport, music, chess, or trading requires transitioning from Unconscious Incompetence to Conscious Competence. As a coach, Spartan takes a data driven approach to identify your strengths and compound them over time. The keyword being time - you will see improvements in 3 months if you dedicate to the craft, but achieving excellence will obviously require a dedicated effort over months and maybe years. If you want a get rich scheme, Spartan's room and mentorship might not be a good fit for you. But if you want to dedicate to the craft of trading, Spartan is one of the most generous thought leaders for retail traders that I have come across - and trust me, I have done my fair share of hopping around in different rooms.Good Luck!
