My mother purchased hearing aids from Specsavers. They are guaranteed until 2026. For some time they have been losing charge and need to be charged during the day which is totally unsatisfactory. She has visited SpecSavers numerous times with the issue and has been told they need to be sent away and the servicing time will be 3 weeks. I am bemused at this level of service or lack of service and cannot understand how SpecSavers can see this as acceptable customer service on a product that has a guarantee until 2026. This week one of the hearing aids would not charge at all and she had no choice but to have them sent for repair with the standard response of ‘this will take up to 3 weeks’. When she asked about an interim solution she got another standard response along the lines of ‘for health and safety reasons we cannot provide a temporary replacement’. My complaint is two fold. Why are her hearing aids losing charge 3 years out from their guaranteed life span ? And secondly why is a customer who is dependent on her hearing aids been left for up to 3 weeks without them ? Lastly I couldn’t find the facility in your website to call anyone to discuss or to contact on line.
