I visited Specsavers yesterday, 27th November, and completed a medical form that entitled me to a free eye test, as it had been two years since my last one. Before my appointment, I asked to confirm that there would be no charge with my medical card. I also double-checked with the staff member at the desk as I was leaving, and was told there was no payment required.However, today (28th November), I received a phone call informing me that I owed €25 for an additional part of the test. I paid the amount, which isn’t the issue. The problem is that this extra charge was not explained to me during my visit, and I had already left the store. The situation felt unclear and a bit misleading.
