A couple of months ago, I bought a half-length binder as my first one, and I had some doubts. While it offers some support, I face multiple issues. For reference, I’m 5'6 and around 150 lbs with a larger chest size. The material is comfortable, and putting it on or taking it off is easy. I appreciate the mesh section on the back for warmer days. However, when I sit or slouch, the bottom rolls up, causing discomfort—a persistent issue. Additionally, the shape doesn't suit my body type; there's excess side-chest due to the low armhole and the neckline is also low, resulting in visible cleavage. Consequently, I don't achieve the compression needed to conceal my natural chest. I expected better than looking like I'm wearing a sports bra one cup size down. As a 20-year-old who has waited six years to bind, this has been a disappointing experience, especially since there are few companies making quality binders. While I’ll continue to wear it as it helps with my dysphoria more than a bra, I believe better options should exist.
