I purchased 5 items for my new home when I moved to Verrado. I bought a Maytag washer, dryer, 2 queen mattresses, and a Whirlpool refrigerator. When I moved into the house, I found the refrigerator never worked. I called Spenser’s about the issue and requested a replacement. They told me they would schedule me for a repairman to see if it was an easy fix. They sent a repairman a week later. He diagnosed that the refrigerator never was functioning because it had a defective compressor. I called Spenser’s and requested a replacement since I purchased a new refrigerator and not a broken one. They said they would not replace it and I would need to take it up with the manufacturer. I called Whirlpool and they said they would repair the refrigerator but not replace it. I was informed that it would take a minimum of 2 weeks or probably longer for a replacement part since they were having supply chain issues. It’s unconscionable that a manufacturer and seller can deliver a defective product to a purchaser and leave the buyer without a working essential appliance like a refrigerator.
