Difficult one. Ordered an item for close to £500 at a competitive price. Order date 23/01/25 and expected delivery in 2 - 3 days, which I think is reasonable these days. Just received a message from Courier that it’s being delivered today 01/02/2025. That’s 9 days after placing order. I did phone Spray Direct twice to see what was happening and the gentleman I spoke with was polite and helpful but the bottom line is that they took my order without having the item in stock and had to wait for their supplier to deliver to them. Nothing on their website to say they didn’t have the item currently in stock. I think that’s unacceptable. Although the price was competitive I would have rather paid £20 more and had delivery next working day. I think it’s sharp practice to take an order in full knowledge that it’s not in stock without informing the customer to that effect. We’re mostly ordering tools / equipment for our work and this experience delayed what I needed to do. You live and learn I suppose. Would it put me off using Spray Direct again ? Probably.
