Avoid Spreadex if you value clear communication and accountability. I contacted support with a simple request: close my Sporting Index account, but KEEP my Spreadex account active.
During the live chat, I told the agent "Tommy" multiple times to keep the Spreadex account open and even uploaded a screenshot of the Sporting Index website to be 100% clear. Tommy ignored my explicit instructions and closed the wrong account anyway.
Crucially, I had already started a promotion on my Spreadex account and was awaiting £50 in remaining free bets. By wrongfully closing my account against my explicit instructions, they effectively wiped out the promotional value I had earned.
When I raised a formal complaint, "Senior Customer Service Advisor" Nick Swan was even worse. Instead of admitting the blatant staff error and restoring my account and pending free bets, he doubled down, permanently closed both accounts, and dismissively tried to claim that an email sent after the closure constituted "reasonable steps to notify in advance."
They are happy to take your money, but when their staff makes a gross administrative error that directly costs you £50, they hide behind their Terms & Conditions rather than fixing it. Utterly unprofessional and zero regard for the customer. Use a bookmaker that actually reads your messages.
