Well, went to purchase a Mini Clubman. Arrived and met David the owner. The advertised Mini was not there it was at the garage having the EGR valve done... The mechanic turned up with it an hour later. Had a test drive, it seemed fine but needed brake pads and service. I thought OK seems OK so put down a deposit (£695). The Mini then went for brake pads. Two weeks later still no car. The garage, another two weeks later reported a glow plug issue... turned out the first mechanic had fitted egr incorrectly and the glow plug issue was now a catastrophic engine failure!! David found a new engine and I agreed to continue with the purchase. Another 3 weeks passed and still no car. Having had a couple of conversations and texts from David we decided to cancel the purchase and he agreed to refund the £695 and £50 as an apology for the inconvenience. So now over 2 months since the initial meeting still no refund. I have however just noticed the Mini Clubman is back on the site and no mention of a new engine in the advert... I am now going to have to pursue a different course of action to recover our money.. Use these people at your own risk....
