Review Time
It's a fake 'algorythm' that just preted put you with folk you have things in common with. They claim they pick 'secret gem' restaurants, but in fact the restaurant they picked was not only super basic, it was loud and super touristy. Horrible night, if politeness hadn't prevented it, I'd literally wanted to walk straight out.
Booked but then couldn't go due to a work related issue. I was asked if I wanted to rebook but I wasn't able to because I didn't know how long the work issue would take to resolve. I asked for a refund and was told no. I could re book but wasn't getting any refund. Outrageous!!!!! Will never re book now. Awful experience.
What a success! Attended a dinner and laughed so much with everyone. It is a genius way to make friends and share deep and meaningful conversations. Went to first Storiboard dinner, was bit nervous to start with but everyone I met for first time was easy going to talk to and soon felt more at ease in restaurant on the night.It was great being matched up such easy going people and general chit chat. All looked after really well to by the restaurant. Such a good feeling experiencing meeting new people in Edinburgh and decided to try another at end of April. For anyone doing this for first time don't be nervous, you get an icebreaker on day as well but I was relieved to be in restaurant we were booked to going to that everyone else were friendly and chatty 😎Storiboard dinner club thank you so much for branching out into Edinburgh.Fab way to meet different people and hopefully in time make new friends attending future dinners.
I was very nervous at first and was thinking the worse how you do. I wanted to go outside my comfort zone and meet new people local to me. Storiboard made it very easy and I felt safe throughout the process. The booking system was easy and I was able to rescheduled if needed. I liked their 3 options of payment and I decided to do the one off to see how it went before committing to other events.I was given the information before the event by What's App which was very clear to understand.The event took place in a lovely funky modern restaurant in the center of Manchester. I used public transport to get to the location which was very easy to find with the help of Google Maps.I arrived 20 mins early and got settled in my new surrounds and the other people arrived on time. It was a mix of men and women of similar age with different interests. I enjoyed hearing about their life stories.The restaurant chosen, I felt very well looked after and they explained how it worked. The staff were friendly and the food was great. We all decided to pay for what we ate by credit cards and shared the service charge. The whole event took about 1.5 hours and after the event we parted and went our separate ways. This is such a great concept and I can't wait to try my next mystery dinner date.
I bought the 3 months subscription back in March and it was one of the best decisions I've made this year - I've managed to get to an activity pretty much every week and have renewed it - seen that they have added Karaoke and Bowling recently and excited for them!
