I purchased a pair of leather boots from Other Stories for £155 (down form £175 with 10% discount). Within a month the boots had warped and gaped and were totally unwearable not to mention looked terrible. The paper receipt had been thrown after a month of wear, as you’d expect to do when you invest in a quality product, but I had a digital receipt from Amex detailing geolocation, date, value, store and transaction ID. I took the faulty boots to store and asked for a refund. They blatantly refused despite my evident proof of purchase and said I could take the credit note or nothing. I felt cornered into being forced into nothing but the faulty boots so I took the credit note. I’ve now realised you can’t even use the note online, but only in store therefore I can’t even share it with friends. I feel so cheated when I had clear solid proof that I am left with a store credit note of a substantial amount of money for a shop whose products I do not trust and will never buy from again. Terrible customer service and loyalty approach. I strongly recommend not buying from this shop.
