I had a very poor experience with Streetwise Driving School due to the conduct of my instructor, Salah Mirzo.During lessons, the instructor was frequently distracted by his phone. On one occasion he answered a call while I was driving, and he regularly commented on notifications appearing on his screen. He was often late to lessons and, at times, used paid lesson time to run personal errands, such as stopping to buy food and water while I waited. He also ate during lessons, spoke with his mouth full (making instructions difficult to understand), and repeatedly offered me food while I was driving, which I found distracting and inappropriate.Lessons were frequently rescheduled at short notice, and he never consistently arrived at the agreed time. As a result, he owes me a significant amount of lesson time. On one occasion, a morning lesson was cancelled via a message sent at 2 a.m., despite the company policy requiring 48 hours’ notice.Lesson time was not used effectively. For example, at the end of one session I was left waiting in the car while he attempted to use a shop’s facilities, then chose to check his car tyres instead of continuing tuition. I was also handed his iPad and asked to complete my own lesson feedback, which felt inappropriate.Despite having prior driving experience, lessons repeatedly focused on very basic manoeuvres, and I did not feel I was progressing. Additionally, after having regular Friday lessons for some time, I was told without notice that this would no longer be possible, further disrupting my learning.Overall, I did not feel that my time, money, or learning were respected. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Streetwise Driving School.
