We bought a the Mayfair in 1992 and have loved every second of use. It is still in use today with no mechanical issues whatsoever over the past 33 years. The leather on the left arm and front left side of the seat does show wear, but that is due to one of our dogs constantly licking while we were away. The rest of the chair looks like new.When we bought a winter home in FL 8 years ago we cheaped out and bought two knockoffs. Most people wouldn't spot the difference between those and the Stressless but there is a world of difference in both comfort and quality. So much so that we finally smartened up and bought two more Stressless Mayfairs. Yes, they are expensive, but we are in our mid sixties now and we can afford it, so we're done with the discomfort and know these will last the rest of our lives.
