This app is half-baked being sold at full price. Connecting to different wallets is a pain, but once I got past that, the assumption was SUMM would do the rest.I was incorrect; I was first tasked with categorizing a boatload of transactions, and which categories to use is confusing. Then it flagged sold crypto as having a missing purchase history. After hours of trying, I had no idea how to correct this, so I watched one of their videos, which starts out by assuming you're familiar with accounting practices. My first thought was if this were true, I wouldn't be using SUMM.Part of the problem is you need to be familiar with how SUMM handles syncing transactions behind the scenes and how it uses categories, groupings, etc., in order to even attempt correcting these. The other issue is it still does not sync certain well-known wallets correctly, so you're always wondering if that could be the problem. The bottom line is they had a year to map data from at least the most popular wallets. They also could have implemented automation using AI to automatically reconcile these other issues, and instead they apparently spent a lot of time changing their name from "Crypto Tax Calculator" to "SUMM."This app is marketed to investors with no accounting experience—so I would expect that other than asking a few easy questions, SUMM should take care of the rest. Also, it is impossible to get real-time help during tax season. So I'm basically stuck from completing my taxes from what I thought would be the easiest part. Not a good feeling!
