I had a very bad visit today at Sunshine Smiles Dentistry. I went for a routine cleaning and also a teeth whitening session. During the Whitening session, I encountered extreme pain / blistering on my lower lip as well as my lower gums. I attempted to relay this discomfort during the 4 step process, but was ignored with my request and dental assistant insisted that it was the weight of the light mechanism that put the pressure on my lower lip / gum. After the procedure my gum was heavily blistered as well as my lower gum. The pain was unbearable and all that was offered was vitamin E topical treatment. Since the November 12th 1:30 pm treatment, my lower lip and gum continue to be very painful and the blistering effect has worsened. I have made an appointment with my General MD to assess this injury and advise me of medications that may help in the healing. I was not treated fairly my the dentist ( Dr. Samardak ). There was no further assistance or aide provided. I will follow up with the Sunshine Group after my MD evaluation but I am concerned on the staff qualifications moving forward with any further treatments.
