Very generous 2 stars. Went in the other day, shelves were nice and stocked. Though was the only nice thing about it. All staff were either huddled around chatting or blocking the aisles. I understand the aisles are small, but there was space for them to move the boxes and not completely block the aisles at what I would say peak trading hours. Anyway eventually found what I was after, then was heading to a checkout where the aisle I was going down had 2 staff members chatting, I asked politely if I could go around which was met by a huff and then one of the paid cut me up causing me to drop one of the items. Whether this was intentional or not, you’d think there would be an apology or a, are you alright? asked, but no, simply sniggered and continued chatting. I’m then in the queue for about 5 minutes as no one is working on the tills when eventually one of the staff members comes. There was no interaction between herself and the other customers, nothing, no asking if they would like a bag, the totals, receipts, nothing. Eventually it’s my turn to pay, again doesn’t say anything to me, but starts speaking over the headset that she’s ’having to deal with customers’. Now I get it, a seemingly harmless remark, but it was the tone in which she said it. As if I and others were deeply troubling her and made me feel as if I don’t want to support such a company.
