I've ordered from Surplus and Outdoors three times starting July 2016 when I bought some Grade 1 Altberg Defender Boots, then again in November 2018 when I was fortunate to grab some new-old-stock, 1960s issue, Danish Civil Defense Wool Trousers, and then just the other day when I got some Super Grade Haix Desert Boots (a military issued variant of the civilian P6 high) and a Super Grade "Wooly Pully".They're a traditional high-street army surplus shop which also trades online, and I feel that the honesty required at a physical shop is echoed in their online store.The store is easy to navigate and well structured with overlapping categories, sub-categories and a general search input. It is fast loading and secure, with no frivolous, unnecessary clutter; it's helpfully straight-to-the-point.Each (sub-)category has a description of what to expect, and images of items within. There is a good, large range of stuff, but, of course, whether what you're looking for is available is subject to availability, the market and your own subjective desires/needs.Sizing, colour, style etc. type options, along with grading information and selection, item descriptions and any specific notices and so on are present for each product; everything you need to know is right in front of you at all times, with a "Have a Question?" form to submit if needed.They have done an excellent job in presenting their stock clearly and, from my experience, honestly; the Haix boots I just got were described as "Like new or new, with no wear on soles, amazing condition..." and that is exactly what I recieved; the accompanying jumper, my wool trousers, and Altbergs, all exactly as described and expected.Ordering is a cart-based breeze (they use iShop I think) following well established protocols, with confirmation emails for order, dispatch and delivery. They dispatch very promptly in sensible, minimal packaging, using reliable delivery services. They have never spammed me or asked me for feedback, not once.A good range of stuff at fair prices, well organised and presented, honestly and conveniently online, by a long established, traditional high-street shop.
