Hi All👋🏼, Well, I’d like to shout from the rooftops about this fantastic programme I am part of! Before joining the SCP, I was putting on weight steadily, a pound here, pound there, up to almost 14 stone. Clothes were very uncomfortable, limited to a few outfits. I felt sluggish and lacked motivation. At 62, I knew I didn’t want to stay like this for the foreseeable future and was getting quite depressed. In a little over 4 months, I have lost 10 kgs and I eat and drink whatever I fancy, within reason. With the SCP, emphasis is on mindful eating, a balanced diet, conscious food choices and portion control. Good hydration and protein intake, with a generous daily calorie allocation, combined with targeted exercise. I am building increased muscle and stamina, with a tailor made programme for my needs and abilities. It also stretches me and remains a healthful challenge. I have an allocated 1:1 Personal Fitness Coach, Eoin. He is so cheerful, consistently supportive, professional and gives clarity to my journey. He reminds me of my more immediate focus and my longer term goals. I can contact him for support and guidance whenever I feel the need, he is just at the end of a WhatsApp text or voicenote, with a call once a month. At the beginning Eoin set me an upper and lower body workout, which I do each, at least twice weekly. My steps through walking, are encouraged, but a manageable daily amount. For me it is 6,000 - 7,000, some days I do more, some days less, as I drive a fair bit for my work and visiting an elderly relative. I attend other ‘live’ workouts and seminars regularly, which are all included in the Sustainable Change programme. I also have an allocated 1:1 Mind Set Specialist, Jane, to work through the emotional eating and any issues that may be preventing weight loss and health improvements. In the EPP, (a group within the programme) I have access to numerous Mastermind classes, and health and well being specialists. To anyone reading this who is ‘on the fence’ I would definitely say ‘take the plunge’, ‘feel the fear and do it anyway’. It is actually not a reckless decision. It is so worth it, it can only improve your health and well being for a bright future. It is certainly good value and money well spent in my opinion. Putting myself first was a priority, because I knew something had to change or I’d sink into worse depths of despair, dramatic as it sounds. I value self care and one’s own self worth. I am unique and valued. The time is NOW! not later or tomorrow….so go get it, you’ll smash it, like I am! Thank you Alex Neilan and the Sustainable Change Programme 🌟
