I wish I could leave a great review, but unfortunately, my experience with Sweetgreen was nothing short of frustrating. It all started when I placed a large $400 order online for Tuesday. However, the website kept defaulting back to Monday. Unknowingly, my order went through for the wrong day. Upon realizing this, I immediately started a chat with customer service to simply change the date—but they couldn’t. Instead, I was told I had to cancel and reorder. What would have happened if the order wasn’t available when I tried again? No idea.I canceled and attempted to reorder, but the site wouldn’t allow me to place another order. Still in the chat, I was then told to go to the store to order in person. So I drove there, waited in line, and asked to place the order for the following day. What happened next completely shocked me.The employee’s response? "We don’t have paper and pen to take an order." I was floored. I explained that I was sent there because they also can’t take orders over the phone. When I asked for a manager, he came over, and I explained the entire situation again. His solution? He would try the website himself. I thought, Great! Some actual help! But instead, he disappeared for a minute, came back, and told me nothing was wrong with the site—that I’d just have to do it myself. No effort. No assistance. Please don’t respond with a generic "Sorry for the inconvenience" because it’s clear that no effort was made to help me. With only three people in the store during lunch, I guess they had already made enough money for the day. If this weren’t for my team, I would have walked out and never returned.I’ve worked in customer service since I was a teenager, and this was a failure on every level. If I could rate this experience zero stars, I would. Sweetgreen, do better!
