I had a major problem with my drains and sewage late at night, I had dirty sewage water coming up into my downstairs wet room, toilet and sink was also blocked. I requested a call back from swift plumbers, i panicked and I just rang the first company that came up when I searched on Google. I got a call back within 5 minutes and Dan arrived 10 minutes later. He took one look in the wet room and went outside to check the drains and when he lifted the first man hole he was shocked, it was nearly full to the top with toilet waste, the 2nd man hole was just as bad. He rang his bosses and I spoke to a lady who explained the price, it was a £69 call out charge which turned into £82.80 with VAT and would be £239 an hour, I didn't have the money to hand so she said he couldn't do the work without payment that night, Dan left and said he would be back in the morning if I had payment, I panicked again as I was told we couldn't use the toilet all night so i rang family for help, I could agree to payment so rang back and Dan and a colleague was back with in 10 minutes, Dan said he would try and get the work done within the hour but that soon changed and I was informed it was the worst blockage he had ever seen, it took around 2 hours to clear the blockage. They explained everything to me and told me the cause of the blockage, they cleaned everything up and left no mess at all.The final bill was £578, they kindly charged me half price for the second hour which I am greatful for, I'm not too pleased about the admin fee of £62.85, the VAT fee was £96.37, I don't know about VAT prices so not sure if that's good or not.I have to say I am very happy with the work done, they did work hard in a very messy, smelly situation and it was very cold and late at night. I think the overall price for the work done was sufficient, im not happy with having to pay over £500 out 3 weeks before Christmas though, but I had no choice. I am very thankful to Dan and his colleague for the work done.
