AYOR - I purchased an ASUS Zenfone 10 in mid-summer 2024 from the store in Toronto – now closed. I was told it was a mint condition “Open Box” returned from Amazon US. Fine until a few months ago when my carrier informed me that I needed a new phone compatible with VoLTE since they were migrating from 3G to 4G/LTE. Swiftronics sold me a TAIWANESE phone with NO support in North America.ASUS confirmed that “unfortunately”, VoLTE, Wi-Fi calling/VoWiFi features are not available for the US region phone models at this time and the Taiwanese sold to me can NOT have his firmware updated even if all the hardware components are already on the device. This phone shouldn’t have been on the Canadian market. I got scammed - 825$ going to waste.
