Like many people when wishing to make a large purchase, we researched the market high and low; knowing that the selection of company providing our piece would be equally as important as the Chesterfield itself. And we trulyu landed on our feet when we found SW James! From start to finish Warren made the journey a complete joy; answering my many questions by email and then inviting us to his showroom in Bollington where he enthralled us with his knowledge of the Chesterfield history, together with the story of how SW James became the provider of the most comfortable Chesterfield available on the market today, using time-honoured traditional furniture making methods with a modern twist in comfort levels. It was there that we were able to view the various models available, all in different leathers and some with different feet, and select from the vast array of leathers available, with advice from Warren.
After that visit, we knew that we had found the company that we could trust to make the most important purchase that we had made for some time, and one that we would live with for many years to come. Warren had made our choice easy and informed, and our custom-made 200cm Huxley Chesterfield in Rustic Tawny leather began her journey. Warren and Jamie kept in touch through-out the process and we didn’t have to wait long before our Chesterfield arrived. The delivery went very smoothly indeed, with a two-man team who had given us a short delivery window and a quick call 30 minutes before arriving. Warren had even supplied felt feet pads for our wooden floor and, as an extra lovely surprise, a set of matching feet for our ottoman which we were absolutely delighted with. The level of detail and the extra touches are what make SW James a company who are head and shoulders above the rest; their customer service is absolutely second-to-none and the whole team are to be applauded for that, as it is rare to find these days. They truly care about their customers and want them to be happy and satisfied with their purchases; I feel that we will be customers for life and we will certainly be back for more purchases in the future.
As for our Huxley Chesterfield itself, it truly is the most comfortable Chesterfield one could ever wish for. And truly the most beautiful sofa I have even seen; the craftsmanship is quite something to behold. We know full well that this is a sofa which will remain in our family for many many years to come, and will only get better with age.
