I placed an online order with this company, and the order confirmation clearly listed a “Mystery Gift” with a quantity of 1 as part of the order contents.
The item was not delivered.
Instead, the company unilaterally issued a €5 gift card and later stated that the gift card constitutes the Mystery Gift. I explicitly informed them in writing that I do not agree to this replacement and requested delivery of the originally confirmed item.
Despite my clear refusal, the company maintained that the voucher fulfils the contract and subsequently stopped responding to my emails.
There is a clear discrepancy between the confirmed order content and the company’s actual performance.
As the matter remained unresolved, I have submitted a formal complaint to the Dutch consumer authority (ACM) in order to protect my consumer rights.
I recommend future customers carefully review order confirmations and keep written communication records.
