I wouldn't wish this service on my worst enemy. Earlier this year, I applied for a secured loan jointly. Now, we want to pay it off completely. All they need to do is expedite the charge with the Land Registry and answer their questions. Once that's done, everything can be resolved, especially as my mortgage deal ends in January (which they know about). Long story short, I've been told they have responded to the Land Registry and expedited the process. I have emails confirming this, but my solicitor has different dates. I've spoken with the Land Registry and have proof that contradicts what I've been told. I've spent hours on the phone, and my partner is in tears. They promised to contact me multiple times, but no one has. I even tried reaching out to a higher-up with no success, and now I'm facing significant financial loss. I feel completely stuck without any hope or clarity on what will happen next. They’re ignoring my solicitor too. They recently won an award for customer service, but I wonder if that would be the case if they had communicated with me first. Nothing here is an exaggeration. Maybe I should stop repaying the loan and see how they react. Next, I may need to involve the financial ombudsman as they are acting unethically. I feel like a victim of a loan shark while just trying to pay them back. I can't advise anyone what to do, but I would steer clear of this service.
