Christie is unbeatable. She was my accountant for nearly five years, and I'm pretty sure whatever I paid her over that time is far below the value she created for me in terms of saved time and money. For knowledge and efficiency, I don't think I've worked with anyone who is as good at their job. I can't recommend her and Hana Tax highly enough. If you're setting up as self-employed, you need someone who not only knows the system inside out but will put the effort in to get things done. There's various systems of taxes and expenses in South Korea that differ significantly from my experience in other countries. And what I've found is that there's a big difference between someone who knows the detail and someone who knows the detail and will do the hard work when their client is ignorant of the system. For that, I'll always be grateful to Christie and her team. My only regret is that I can't continue to use Christie after I've left Korea. I'll struggle to find anyone as kind or as good at the job.
