TD Insurance: Completely Incompetent and Reckless!
I was only notified about the cancellation by physical mail, which I received at my address more than a week later. Before that, I had absolutely no idea there was any issue with my policy — no calls, no emails, nothing. I have many automatic payments and expenses, and I usually don’t track them closely because everything is set up on auto-pay.
After receiving the letter, I immediately called to clarify the situation and paid the remaining balance they told me about. I was then promised a call back the next day to set up a new policy, and we even agreed on a specific time window. However, no one ever called. I waited, expecting them to follow through, and because of that I lost more time and couldn’t arrange coverage elsewhere.
During that time, I had no idea there was any issue — which could have put me in a very serious legal and financial situation if I had been stopped.
This level of communication and responsibility is extremely disappointing. Very unprofessional and careless service.
